What I Do
Training, speaking, and consulting to people who teach and learn languages.
I bridge the gap between traditional teaching methods and emerging technology.
What Keeps Me Grounded
I make sure to keep a work-life balance, and to get plenty of fresh air, interesting challenges, and opportunities for learning. I volunteer at parkrun and Welsh festivals (been learning Welsh for many years), foster cats, and swim in the sea. Latest big side project is learning to play the guitar! These activities keep me grounded and connected to more people, because at heart I’m a massive extrovert.
The Best Advice I’ve Ever Received
The best advice I’ve ever received is to ask myself, “Is that the last good idea you’ve ever had?” The answer is always no, and that keeps me moving forward.

How I Got Here
From international student recruitment to becoming a language learning coach, I’ve always been drawn to human connections and lifelong learning. My journey has taught me the value of steady progress and finding a way that suits your unique style.
Tools I Use Every Day
I rely on Notion, ChatGPT, and Hey email to stay organised. My custom setup helps me get everything out of my head and see it all clearly.
I also use an Aeropress for coffee, a SAD lamp in the winter, an external monitor, and pen and paper.
My Other Business
I also run Fluent Language, where I help people build confident, consistent language-learning strategies using the same gentle-structure approach I use here.
Most recently, I’ve co-founded the wonderful AI Language Club.
